Pagani vs. Lamborghini: Hot Pursuit!

One of my favorite creative projects at EA. In my Need for Speed (NFS) partner meetings with Automobili Pagani and later with Automobili Lamborghini, we brainstormed an idea around bringing our videogame's key art (pack art) to life. Life imitating art. Pagani created a bespoke Zonda Cinque and Lamborghini provided a Murcielago LP640 which we liveried to match our fictional police interceptors in NFS Hot Pursuit. We shot in the Dolomites -- the alps in Northern Italy -- with Runimation Studios running production and Robert Eder as Director. Pagani's Hannes Zanon, EA sound guru Charles Deenen, and editor Jason King were rock stars on this project too! What I liked about this video is the fact that it wasn't a classic launch asset, but more of a creative endeavour inspired by a passion for cars and a new 'expression' of an automotive fantasy. I was Exec Producer on this project and was involved from brainstorm, original script and boards right through music, sfx, and editing. Conceived summer 2010, shot Oct 2010.
