I installed Ikea Vidga U Rails in my bedroom and installed my SwitchBot curtain. The SwitchBot is a perfect fit for these rails, though you have to install the bot by removing the end cap and sliding the whole bot into the rail. My window is 264cm wide, which required two of the Vidga rails to be joined. Initially I found that the bot got stuck where these rails met unless the join was perfectly aligned. With a little twisting and bending I’ve gotten them to the point that this no longer happens. My bedroom curtains are very thick and heavy, so the bot struggles to close them a little. Unfortunately it is unable to open or close them fully on silent mode, but it is successful in performance mode. In the video you will notice that I also have a blackout blind. This is already automated using a Soma Smart Shade. Overall I’m very impressed by the bot! I’m curious to see if the solar panel will capture enough light to charge the bot. I can’t see anywhere in the app that tells me the current light value, but maybe I’m missing something. ==>https://www.switch-bot.com/products/switchbot-curtain
