There was a fully grown adult male in the passenger’s seat, but he was reportedly drunk, as the 41-year-old failed a roadside breathalyzer test. It is believed that man is the child’s father.
The suspected dad has been charged with being an adult in charge under the influence of alcohol and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. An astonished road safety advisor stated “Children at that age don't have the mental or physical capabilities to drive a car safely. It is a real concern to hear that children were being put in that position.”
The young boy was placed into the care of other family members.
