Drunk Chinese Man Found Sleeping in Shipping Container

One intoxicated man found himself in a desperate situation after he chose a shipping container for a place to take a nap.

Those nights when a few too many are knocked back can leave people desperate to find a place to rest their heads. One intoxicated man from Qingdao, China found himself in a rough situation after he chose a shipping container for a place to take a nap.

He had spent the night drinking. At some point, he wandered into a shipping container, out of thousands which were being loaded onto ships that were destined for America.

He woke up the next morning at a little before 7:30, when workers at the local Economic and Technological Development Zone began moving the containers.

Panicked, he pulled out his cell phone and began contacting people for help. A police spokesperson stated “His problem was that he couldn't tell us which container he was in and there were thousands of them stacked on top of each other.”

Eventually he was freed after he was located in a container which was about 60 feet in the air.

The male narrowly escaped a two week journey to the U.S. He claimed that he mistook the shipping container for his own apartment.
