An Ohio man received $425,000 worth of tightly wrapped weed in a gun safe that he ordered online.
Astounding local authorities, it turns out the safe was manufactured by Champion Safe Co. in Nogales, Mexico and packaged by local inmates who sent several drug filled safes up north.
The confusion over the misdelivery has led the driver of the truck into hiding, Shelby County, Ohio, Sheriff John Lenhart said, adding he was hoping to locate him in order to ask about an additional 25 to 30 safes he believes were being delivered to an Ohio warehouse for distribution.
He said that the man who received the safe was not expecting to find the drugs inside and instead ordered it in order to store two dozen long rifles and a dozen shotguns he owns.
