While many of us want to experience the camping lifestyle, it's often not possible in an urban setting.

To fill that void, an indoor campground in Germany is now featuring vintage RV’s as rooms for guests. Hotelier Michael Bonner is the man behind the nostalgic and innovative accommodations.

He transformed the space, which was previously a vacant warehouse, into what is basically a fake campsite.Instead of streamlined, modern campers in the great outdoors, this campground is slightly wacky and definitely colorful, reminiscent of what you might have seen 50 years ago.

15 caravans or trailers all differently decorated, now take over the reconverted warehouse area, along with two railway cars. All the campers have a specific theme.

There is a “hunting cabin”, a “flower power” RV, a British themed mobile and one that looks like a ship. At night, the retro campers illuminate with neon based lighting.

The best way to describe the space is nostalgically eccentric. Depending on the size of the chosen camper, guests can stay at the site for a starting price of a little under $75 per night.

How do you like the concept?
