U.S. marks one year anniversary since storm "Sandy"

Along the eastern U.S. coastline, Americans paid tribute to the 159 people who died in a devastating storm, exactly one year ago.

In New York residents held up flashlights to make a heart-shape marking the one year anniversary of superstorm "Sandy".

While in Staten Island, neighbours placed candles in water, as part of a vigil to light up the shore.

One year on from the storm and residents in of New Jersey and New York shore communities are still rebuilding damaged homes after record floods.
