This morning Osaka District Court charged the former senior policeman for his public sexual advances towards a young girl near beach waters. He denied the charges in the indictment and pleaded innocent in court.
The 28-year-old suspect is the former chief of police in the area. According to the indictment, the male was suspected of having sex with a young girl on the rubber boat. He admitted his acts were indecent but pleaded innocent since no one was there to see them.
But the prosecution pointed out that his colleagues reportedly covered them up with an umbrella because they couldn't stand to have this indecency watched by the beachgoers.
Although he got arrested for sexual assault last August, both Osaka District Court and Committees for the Inquest of Prosecution dropped the case due to insufficient evidence.
