New York police have confirmed that a Metro-North passenger train derailed in the Bronx Sunday morning. Local media reports that at least four are dead... and multiple people are injured.

Emergeny crews arrived at the scene removing passengers from inside the train cars and carrying some of the injured on stretchers.

Local media reports that at least four cars came off the track just south of the Spuyten Duyvil station shortly after 7 a.m. (EST).

A freight train derailed near the same scene in July. There were no injuries in that accident.

Service has been suspended on the Metro-North Hudson line between Grand Central Terminal and Poughkeepsie.
