Golden Globe nominations announced

‘12 Years A Slave’ and ‘American Hustle’ have taken front runner positions in the Golden Globe Awards nominations.

Each film has seven nods. Both are in the running for the ‘Best Director’ award, among others.

Historical drama “12 Years A Slave” tells the story of a man who was born free then forced to live as a slave.

Lead Chiwetel Ejiofor is nominated for ‘Best actor in a film drama’ for his performance.

Brit, Idris Elba will take on Chiwetel Ejiofor for the ‘Best actor’ title for his role as Nelson Mandela in “Long Walk to Freedom”.

“American Hustle”, the tale of a New Jersey conman who inadvertently becomes involved with the Mafia, is shortlisted in the ‘Best film comedy or musical’ category.
