Sonia Gandhi at AICC Session talks about UPA policies for women empowerment

Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, in her opening address at the AICC session held at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium. “In the last few years, we have helped numerous women by assisting them to start new Self Help Groups (SHG) which has been bringing positive changes in their lives, across the country. We also have enacted new laws to ensure women’s rights after the marriage. We have now new laws so as to prevent the atrocities against children, sexual assaults and other crimes against women and domestic violence”, said Sonia Gandhi.
