In November of 2011, Lotoya and her family moved into their new home in Gary, Indiana and the strangeness of the paranormal kind started immediately. Swarming flies in winter, strange noises in the night, and even ghost images and levitating children were observed.
Lotoya organised an exorcism that looked more like a scene from the movie Poltergeist according to records.
When both DCS and Police visited the home themselves, they also experienced some paranormal activity. They noted hearing weird noises on their radios, before the freshly charged devices cut off. They also saw phantoms appearing on what should have been a photo of absolutely nothing.
Even still, Lotoya's children were forced into foster care and are officially listed as delusional.
One psychologist recommended Lotoya be assessed to "determine whether her religious beliefs are masking her own shortcomings."
Still, Police and DCS officials continue to investigate the house.
