Commander Chris Hadfield, the astronaut who shot to fame with his work onboard the International Space Station this year, cherry picks the best moments from his time in orbit.
Commander Hadfield, who captured the public's imagination by tweeting thousands of pictures from space and recording David Bowie's 'Space Oddity' at zero gravity, told
The Telegraph that he would remember his spacewalks as the highlight of his career.

"Because of the complexity of it, the challenge of it, but the inate beauty of it. To be alone in the universe, it's fantastic," he said.

However, the 54-year-old, who retired earlier this year following a 35-year career which saw him travel to space three times, also revealed that returning home was always a pleasure.

He added: "Being able to give your daughter a hug is a real treat, and something you can't do when you're away."
