Kollywood Masala - 45 - Namitha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Lakshmi Rai

It's official at last — actress Namitha will enter politics. "Yes, I'm super sure about the decision," confirms the actress. However, she is tight-lipped about the party she will join. "Three parties have accorded her a warm welcome but she is yet to decide which one to be a part of, she said she is also likely to contest the coming parliamentary elections from Tamil Nadu.
The actress also says that she will take time out to campaign for the party she is to join.


Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film with Mani Ratnam seems to be getting delayed. The multilingual film was expected to be launched this summer. But now we hear that the shooting of the flick has been postponed for some reasons. The buzz says that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mahesh Babu starrer film will take off in June or July. The post-production works are happening in a slow pace and the team is not hurrying up to start the project soon. Moreover, the makers of the film are yet to formally announce the news on this film. The untitled film is simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. Superstar Mahesh Babu has been signed to play the main hero role. There are also reports that Tollywood star Nagarjuna has been approached by Mani Ratnam for the film. But nothing has been confirmed. Shruti Hassan will be playing a key role in the flick. Oscar Award winner AR Rahman is expected to score music for the forthcoming flick.


Every actress in her career comes across many challenges and one of the common one is whether she could do glamorous roles and steamy scenes. While some refuse to do citing their uncomfortable, there are few, who could shed all their inhibitions to be part of such intimate scenes. Well, South actress Lakshmi Rai too has revealed that she doesn't mind being bold. Lakshmi Rai has said that she is open to do intimate scenes. But she has conditions to do such sequences. Her only concern is that the scene should not be forcefully included to the script. As we all know, many filmmakers add steamy scenes to attract mass audience. Especially, to draw the public attention, they come up with those spicy ideas. The glam doll is willing to do if the script demands it. Lakshmi Rai adds that acting is her passion and she wants to do justice to her roles.
