Like many young stars today, Ashok Selvan is a huge admirer of Thala Ajith. And, the actor actually made his entry into tinseltown in a film that starred Ajith in the lead! Yes, Ashok was actually the junior Billa in Billa 2. "It was the perfect 'pillayar suzhi' for me," he says, "I accepted that appearance only because it was in an Ajith film. Unfortunately, I could not meet him on set. I hope to interact with him someday."
Post films like Villa and Thegidi, Ashok is waiting for the right project to come along. "I've been reading a few scripts, but I want to ensure that I take up the one best suited to me."
Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, who has been a part of the Rajini-starrer Kochadaiiyaan, is now a part of another Tamil film that is in the making. If one is to go by what sources in the industry say, then the veteran actor is playing an important role in Kanithan, which stars Atharvaa and Catherine Tresa in the lead.
Says a source in the know, "Jackie Shroff plays the villain in the film, which is being directed by Santhosh and shot by cameraman Arvind Krishna. Around 50 per cent of the film has already been canned."
Interestingly, this will be Jackie Shroff's third Tamil film after Aaranya Kaandam and Kochadaiiyaan.
The buzz in the industry is that Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra is likely to play the female lead opposite Vijay in his next. Deepika Padukone's name name seems to be in the forefront. The actress already has the magnum opus opposite Superstar Rajinikanth Kochadaiiyaan and is in much demand.
Ilayathalapathy is busy shooting for his next Kaththi directed by AR Murugadoss. The actor will then team up with Chimbu Devan. Though there is not much information on this movie, we expect that more details will be out in the near future. There is a buzz that composer AR Rahman will score the music of the film. Vijay will start working on the film after he wraps up the shoot of Kaththi.
