There really isn't much difference in the external battery category. A few brands make exceptional batteries: ZeroLemon, New Trent, Sabrent and Unu are at the top of my list. But, none of the manufacturers actually incorporate a LED display that actually tells you how much battery strength is left. At best you have a light system that gives you a sense but in intervals of either 20% or 25%.

MaxBoost has incorporated a numeric indicator in the display panel. This is really what's been missing.

Both of the batteries (now renamed "Electron") have the standard features such as dual port with a higher output of 2.1 amp's. The second is a 1.0 amp but to be quite honest that output most likely won't charge your phone or tablet if it's a smartphone nor a phablet: the output just isn't strong enough.

It's also important to point out when using more than one device with this or other multi-port external batteries: NO battery, at this moment, including these very good and very strong high capacity batteries will charge two devices very well. There's a big difference in when two devices are being used than one EVEN though these are high-capacity batteries.

The "Pulse" - 10 000 mAh measures:
2.75" x .75" x 4.25" and weighs 1 lb.

The "Electron" - 15 000 mAh measures:
2.75" x .75" x 5" and weighs 1.5 lbs.

Both batteries also feature a sidelight, as well.

*** Testing ***

I drained one of my old Android phones that has a 3000 battery.

I used the 2.1 port and the battery went from 1% to 100% in 2 hours.

*** Recommendation ***

Despite having the option of using two (2) ports, the 1.0a port, the 2.1 port is really the only port you should consider especially if you have a phablet or tablet that needs charging.

Lastly, the batteries need about 5-6 hours themselves to be fully charged and that's not bad.
