Unfaithful Chinese woman's eye gouged out by abusive husband

A jealous and abusive husband in China's southern Guangxi province gouged his wife's eye out after he found out that she had been having an affair.

The 39-year-old woman, identified only by her surname Li, met her husband, identified by his nickname Ah Long, met each other on the internet. After dating for three months he forced her to marry him.

Afterwards Ah Long was abusive toward Li, often beating her. She wanted to divorce him but was unable to do due so because Ah Long was in possession of all of her identity documents.

Li eventually found a part-time job and feel in love with a new guy. When Ah Long found out, he rushed to the house where she was staying and gouged her left eye out with his bare hands.

After the brutal attack, he sent her to a local hospital and turned himself in.
