You can’t beat the experience of one bartender in Wendover, UK. Believed to be the oldest barmaid in the world, nearly 100-year-old Dolly Saville has kept the same job for about 74 years.

You can’t beat the experience of one bartender in Wendover, UK. Believed to be the oldest barmaid in the world, Dolly Saville has kept the same job for about 74 years. These days she’s a hundred years old and is still going strong.

Dolly works the lunch shift at Red Lion Hotel three days a week. She’s actually cut down on the amount of hours in her workweek. Roughly 6 years ago, Dolly was working 6 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Despite slowing down just a bit, she hopes to continue serving drinks. Dolly commented “I love my work and I love the people, it keeps me going and it's better than sitting around. I never thought I would be here this long, but I've loved every minute of it. My family keeps asking if I want to stop, but I have no plans to retire.”

During her lengthy career, she’s served former prime minister, Edward Heath, footballer Sir Stanley Matthews and even Pierce Brosnan. Dolly is a great, great grandmother and she hopes to teach the trade of bartending to the little one.

Deputy manager of the Red Lion Hotel, Sam Hughes, says Dolly is a tourist attraction and added that she’s more than welcome to continue working there as long as she likes.
