Five people were killed and one critically injured in a violent stabbing in New York on Saturday, according to a New York Times report.
The incident happened at a residence in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighbourhood.
Preliminary reports identified the suspect as a relative of the victims, a 37-year-old woman and her four young children.
Police responded to reports of the stabbing around 11pm.
Three of the children, one of whom was a toddler, were already dead when paramedics arrived.
The mother and an 8-year-old boy were rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to their injuries.
All five of the victims had stab wounds to their upper bodies, according to a report by CNN citing New York police.
Police did not immediately release details of the identities of the victims and the suspect.
The suspect is currently in police custody, but official charges have yet to be filed, according to CNN.
