She waves goodbye
Her movement is slow
a sign of her sadness.
She is swallowed by
the steam, only her
memory remains.
I watch the train drift
away It lingers as if
to prolong this pain.
Then darkness decends
and the film ends......
We stand in unison
shuffle out into the outside
world and begin to live
our lives again.
