It was a hard day in the world,
I'm just hoping for seclusion,
please leave me alone,
but, I harbor no illusions - - -
It is a not much different feeling,
than the one when I arise,
that is... before I greet the world,
and put on my disguise!
Why is it that we play the games we play?
- - - before we pay the price that we must pay,
when there are those that have so little,
and love it every day?
