Ted Sheridan - Napoleon Complex and Compelled

2014-06-14 1 Dailymotion

Most of the time the more powerful a man is…
The more control he is compelled to exert over others…
But such a man is also more prone to behave as a little boy
I was reminded of this fact when
I was accused by a powerful man
Of not displaying the proper tact
When addressing him in a recent letter to the editor
I expressed dismay over his desire for me to perform
For the benefit of his delight a “Dog and Pony Show”
Whereas I was to ride an elephant backwards and bareback
In the center ring
While juggling six hand grenades
And swallowing a flaming sword with my ass
I only suggested the possible Napoleon complex
Might apply to his small demeanor and short stature
In a defensive fit of anger he called me rude and indignant
Bitter, jealous and delusional
All of the above
I was accused of displaying
Because I rebuked his tendency to belittle
Any ideas except for his
It is important to note, that all ideas
Sooner or later, if good, become his own
So taking that into consideration
I guess you could say he wrote this poem
