People would stare
at the man in the hat
a man that was diffrent
because his hat was flat

Children would laugh
Childern would giggle
childern would get all exitcted
and they would wiggle

Mr Teasdale
all happy and full of glee
would take off his hat
touch it if you like
its soft go ahead and you will see

Mothers looking all preplexed
at the hat that was flat
it just made no sense

Children would
try and put it on there heads
it would fall off
maybe make a good frisbie instead

Mr Teasdale
would put it back on his dome
get it just right
say to the kids
with this hat my head feels just right

Then he would bow
and be on his way
the man with the flat hat
making people smile every single day
