instead of merely speaking theirs

Im glad to have someone who cares
some-one who wants to help
instead of simply asking for it

Im glad to have had you to turn to
to give me that hug i desperately need
instead of stealing it off me

Im glad to have a friend
who helps guide me through life
instead of demanding it all off me

I am glad and proud to call you my friend
my candle in the dark
my shoulder to cry on

I am glad to have something real among the fakes
so thankyou my friend
