I’d love to go back,
To the days when I had pigtails in my hair,
When id sing at the top of my lungs,
And dance around everywhere.
Id love to go back,
To the days id jump on the trampoline,
And the biggest problem in my life,
Was my siblings being mean.
Id love to go back,
To the days id spend hours in the pools,
And the biggest craze was tamagotchis and walkmans,
And if you didn’t have one you werent cool.
I wish I could go back,
To the days id run around in the park,
Where id spend hours playing with friends,
And things werent so hard.
I wish I could go back to the days,
When Saturday Disney was on TV,
And id wake up so early on a weekend,
Just so I could see.
I wish I could go back,
To singing every Hi 5 song,
I knew every song that ever played,
And id sing it all night long.
I wish I could go back,
To the days I’d play with my Barbie Doll,
Where I had hundreds of different types,
And I’d play with them all.
I wish I could go back,
To the Primary School days,
Where all we’d do is play sports,
And our lunch is what we would trade.
I wish I could go back,
To wishing I was a teen,
But now I look back,
And my childhood has come and been.
I didn’t realise how fast life comes,
And our life is going by,
We need to stop and enjoy each moment,
Because it goes in the blink of an eye.
