NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2, or OCO-2, is designed to study the global carbon cycle from a whole new perspective. From its vantage point in polar orbit, OCO-2 will measure atmospheric carbon dioxide, discovering where it is being emitted and absorbed and revealing the roles of humans, plants and oceans on global CO2 levels.
