Whirling Kalapas is an acoustic trio created by Indus Creed's Uday Benegal and Mahesh Tinaikar along with multi-instrumentalist Sankarshan Kini. The trio's music can be described variously as neo-folk, alt-country, mellow—and often funky—acoustic rock. The band's vocally and instrumentally lush sound has been garnering much praise from audiences across the country, including at their headlining performance at Lou Majaw's Bob Dylan festival in Shillong and at Sulafest 2013.
