A veteran Himalayan mountaineer is evacuated from Nanda Devi Sanctuary, by way of Lama helicopters despatched by the Indian Air Force from the Bareilly unit in Uttar Pradesh state. The chopper lands in the inner sanctuary and takes away the climber who was suffering from HAP (High altitude pulmonary oedema / edema) and High Blood Pressure.
