Rock Band Recycle from Imphal performs at the Maramfest 2012 which was held at Mini Stadium, Senapati.

Recycle came into existence in November 2006 with a common urge to bring the musical landscapes of 90's grunge, Alternative and funk flavor to the Imphal music scene for the very first time. Pior to starting off their Recycle journey all band members played in different local bands separately. The band won the "Best Vocalist" award at the Hornbill Rock Festival 2007.

Recycle also took part in the mega Nokia Promotional Christmas Rock Festival 2008 held in three districts of Manipur and Shillong (Meghalaya).

In 2009, Recycle also worked in a project titled "Rock4Life" which is part of social awareness/anti-stigma HIV/AIDS campaign and contributed their talent by writing a song called "Walk On" for its compilation CD. The compilation album was written by various artists from across the 8 States in North East India to support the cause. So far so good, the journey has been culminated an experience of live gigs, rehearsals and studio recordings. Looking at the long journey ahead, the band is ever more than ready for the miles ahead.

Maramfest is an annual music and cultural festival in Maram Centre, Manipur, founded by John Hinkung who is also the founder of Sevendiary.com. Maramfest started in the year 2009 and since then there has been no looking back. This year, Maramfest was held on December 12 at Senapati (Tamhamzam), Manipur. The only difference being that it was the first ever international concert for people residing in a small hilly district headquarters of Senapati. Two British metal bands Xerath and Bloodshot Dawn headlined the festival, along with supporting acts such as Recycle from Imphal, Manipur and various artists. Prior to hitting the Maramfest 2012, Xerath and Bloodshot Dawn also performed at the first ever Kohima Metal Fest in Kohima on December 10 at the aftermath of Nagaland Hornbill Festival.
