There’s a man in Topeka, Kansas who was spotted walking around totally naked. The sight was shocking in and of itself, however there’s another surprising aspect to it.
The nude man did absolutely nothing wrong, as it’s legal to walk around town without any clothing on. The male had been sighted by a number of local residents who were able to snap photos or record him.
Natasha Shamblin is one of the people who saw him first-hand. She is stunned that he can’t be arrested.
Shamblin pointed out the nude male walked by schools and churches. Sheriff Herman Jones for Shawnee County delved into the state statute that prevents him from being placed in cuffs.
He explained “Unless someone is exposing themselves or a sexual organ to gratify or arouse someone other than themselves, it's really not anything against the law.”
It all comes down to a judgement call that has to be made by officers and thus far it looks as though the man just enjoyed walking around naked in a non-sexual manner.
For now, locals are left to turn a blind eye to the male if they see him again and hope nobody else catches on to the legal naked walking hobby.
