Nicaraguan authorities confirmed the fall of a meteorite that crashed Saturday night near the international airport in Managua (capital), causing a large explosion was felt strongly throughout the city. The Government of Nicaragua reported that the situation caused no human or material damages, because the meteorite hit an uninhabited area. The hit was so large that it registered on the instruments Strauss's organization uses to size up earthquakes.
