An episode of ‘Watch What Happens: Live’ shows the world how Teresa Giudice reacted to her sentence of 15 months behind bars for conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud.
The interview was recorded the day following the court hearing. The ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star told host Andy Cohen “I couldn’t open my hands. My nerves were shot. I’ve had sleepless nights. I, of course, I was shocked. It was very unexpected. I don’t even know what to say.”
On the show Teresa sat next to her husband Joe, who was ordered to spend 41 months in prison.
The federal judge who sentenced the pair made it clear she wanted to make an example out of the couple, to show everyone that fame doesn’t factor in when it comes to facing the consequences of certain actions.
Teresa and Joe’s sentences will be staggered so they can care for their children. Teresa will go to jail first.
She is however, allowed to remain with her family during the holidays before beginning her prison term in January of next year.
