Supreme court appellate division fixed December 2 for beginning hearing on the appeal filed by convict Golam Azam against the verdict over crime against humanity during the Liberation War.
A 5-member appellate division bench led by Chief Justice Md Mozammel Hossain set the schedule for hearing on Wednesday.
Four judges of the bench are Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Mia, Justice Hassan Foyez Siddique and Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury.
Earlier, on July 15, International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 awarded Golam Azam with 90 years of imprisonment for crimes against humanity.
Golam Azam submitted appeal against the verdict and sought acquittal from the case.
On 12 August 2013, the prosecutions also filed a plea seeking highest punishment for the war criminal.
