Poetic Lilly Emery - Oh Mediterranean Sea

OH MEDITERRANEAN SEA

When you look at the sea did you see me
I hold on high waiting for a new life
with beautiful sunshine,

Did you see me standing in the rain
with so much tears that no one even cared
I felt I couldn't breath like freedom had been
taken from me,

Did you take a long look when you seen my two
feet on the ground walking with the lost yet not
found, did you hear the sounds of many cries
like thunder from the darken skies,

Oh dear chemistry of the pouring rain
did you hear my name, all spirits did awake
with the pains of earthshaking winds
calling at me again,

Oh night, I did return to you again in sighing
Did you see me at sea holding on to me
crying with the Mediterranean sea just wanting
to be be free yet lost at sea.
