Surrounded by trees
situated near a pond
lies there a tiny land
that remained always barren
being barren not its fault
belittled it felt for not of any use
not a grass it could grow
to attract the cattle
not a bush it could grow
to attract any birds
grief it felt thinking of its plight
to God it sent all its grievance
next day came a man
with a bag full of grains
scattered the grains that he brought
all through the stretch
moments within assembled there
multiples of birds and squirrels
to feast on the grains
strewn all over barren land
a daily routine then after
is the scene till now
left in ecstasy is our barren land
for finding a meaning in its existence
