Comedian Katt Williams and Black Kapital Records CEO Suge Knight have both been charged with robbery.

Comedian Katt Williams and Black Kapital Records CEO Suge Knight have both been charged with robbery.

The men were arrested on Wednesday, but the incident occurred last month. On September 5th, the men allegedly stole a female photographer’s camera outside a studio located in Beverly Hills.

Local police are still investigating the incident. Williams was arrested in connection to the theft when he appeared for an arraignment in a separate case involving an assault.

Knight was taken into custody in Las Vegas. He could face up to 3 decades behind bars because he has a previous conviction for assault with a deadly weapon on his record.

The maximum sentence Williams can get is 7 years in prison. Prosecutors are requesting for Knight’s bail to be set at $1 million and $75,000 bail for the other defendant.

Knight is often referred to as a hip hop mogul. He founded Death Row Records in 1991 and signed a number of artists including Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur. The latter rapper was a passenger in the car that Knight was driving when he was fatally shot in 1996.

Williams started out in show business as a stand-up comic before landing movie roles and an HBO special titled ‘Katt Williams: Pimp Chronicles Pt.1’.
