U Win Kyi - Burma Iconic Lady Aung San Suu Kyi (The Caged Bird)

Once she was put under house arrest
like a caged bird, her clipped wing could not flap.
But song of freedom she sang
Song of democracy she sang.
Song of truth she sang.
Song of courage she sang.
Song of melancholy she never sang.
Now she is a free flying bird.
Her feet she can set
any time, anywhere on this planet,
as a welcoming guest.
Song of freedom, truth, courage and democracy
she still sings fearlessly, loudly and proudly
so that she can bring to Burma prosperity.
