Danny Reynolds - (023) The first Sunrise of Fall

2014-11-08 4 Dailymotion

High enough upon a ridge
He let the first faint tinge of frost
Cloak him with no cruel
Awakening

All his grains of coloured sand
Meticulously laid to hand
He watched and waited
Teased the dawn

“Good morning dawn.
Your time has come
Today you will be mine to give

To share with she who wonders where
the partner for her bed has gone”

And so he filled his glass collage
High up on Cartmel Fell
He framed a dawn of duck-egg blue
On a bed of crimson and caramel

“This, my love, when next you see
I pray reminds, your heart of me.
These brush strokes of a rising sun
May bring some comfort
Now I’ve gone”
