Scared to death
of what summer will bring
I'm afraid that over summer
my life will hang by a string
Scared that I'll see that man
that I'l again become a victim of torture
When all I truly need
is to be completely nurtured
And through my long past
many things I've learned
Some people hurt more than others
sometimes I'll get deeply burned
The sunshine always comes with darkness
And the darkness comes with a storm
But having hope and God is needed to survive
So we're not utterly torn
