Fidelity and virginity are twins
Once taken they cannot return
Careful consideration should be taken
before fidelity is spurn
Taking a lover you could discern
that passion you coveted
is so exquisite that repenting
would be the sin
or it is a fickle quagmire with the
unearthing of the carnal knowledge
that words of wooing whispered
did not match the actual screwing
And what of your one true love?
Does this mean you do not really put this one above?
or that it was simply fidelity that you did not love?
If a tryst undiscovered
could you go back to just
this mate under your covers?
Hmmm, if found out
Would there be just a shout
Or gruesome as True Love
seeks out the Twosome?
And what of your concubines fidelity
Is she expected to reveal
if she keeps only to you still?
What if he at night he dusts off his wife?
Will he listen to you screech and cry,
put up with the strife?
If no strings is negotiated
what a quandry if they become infatuated?
Fidelity is itself its own virgin
Once plucked it seeks the act even more urgent
If you wish to wander on this
I warn take long to ponder
For when it is done
the web is weaved for self deceit
A lover scorn
A true lovers knot slit to threads
Fidelity estranged from you forever
The afterglow of passion is not priceless
Forlorn fidelity is a roll of the dices
