Obed dela Cruz - Broken Statues, Forgotten Names, O So Many!

2014-11-10 1 Dailymotion

Broken statues, forgotten names, O so many!
Men and women with fame and great admirations
But now like book pages ripped off from history
To a forbidden room of crowning collections.

Pity they who worked so much for their own future
Sacrificing the improvement of mind and heart.
Their fame brought them nothing but great sore displeasure
And this was already assigned right from the start.

What is it in mortal fame, fortune, and glory
If the same prides may lower you down very low;
Why not strive for betterment and, not for vanity?
Plant for a cause and reap something tomorrow.

Remember, even Babylon has lost its pride
Like those times when foolishness is the mind of Greece.
History will always remember those who abide
To the rules that were set before Earth was one piece.
