Negotiators from the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) agreed to resume peace talks in nine days. The negotiations had been suspended following the rebels' capture of General Ruben Dario Alzate on November 16. Alzate was released last Sunday but major questions and doubts remain about what he was doing in rebel-held territory. teleSUR
