A suspected Ebola patient is waiting for relief in Sierra Leone.
There is now at least some refuge in the Kono District in eastern Sierra Leone.
But with a shortage of ambulances the question is where to go from here.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) DEPUTY MANAGER FOR RED CROSS OPERATIONS IN KENEMA AND KONO DISTRICTS, EIRIK LUNDBLAD, SAYING:
"There are currently two ambulances in the district, covering the entire district. Last I heard was about 360,000 people living in Kono District. These ambulances are going shuttle between here and Kenema with Ebola patients, a drive that takes a full day. Meaning that there's a severe lack of transport and a severe lack of ambulances here in the district."
And the drivers are not immune.
