Merkel, Obama meet on Ukraine crisis

German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with US President Barack Obama in Washington on Monday to brief him on developments in the Ukraine crisis. In a joint press conference, Obama said Washington was considering the sending lethal defensive weapons to Kiev as an option and that Russian aggression only reinforced Western unity on the issue.
