Media and rights groups sue NSA

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Wikipedia and other rights groups have filed suit against the National Security Agency (NSA) with the aim of halting sweeping surveillance programs and obliging the agency to purge the collected information. The suit charges that indiscriminate NSA surveillance reduces the likelihood that journalists, human rights victims and foreign governments will share sensitive information with watchdog groups.
