Rs 2.25 crore scam in MGNREGA scheme, three arrested - Tv9 Gujarati

Sabarkantha: The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested three persons for their involvement in MGNREGA ( Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act ) scam of Rs.2.25 crore. The three are identified as MM Prajapati, Nilesh Dixit and Jahid Abbas Mansoori who embezzled Rs.2.25 crore during the work under MGNREGA scheme in the year 2011-12 in Khedbrahma town of the district. Notably, as many as 47 works exist only on papers and the officials usurped Rs.2.25 crore producing fake cheque before government of the work undone.
