A shocking assault was recorded in a Brazilian football match last weekend, as Jacuipense lost 3-1 at home to Juazeirense.
The lower league match has hit the headlines after Jacuipense’s Meidson Maciel unbelievably assaulted the ref with a WWE clothesline.
The assault was unprovoked and completely unnecessary.
Maciel was sent off for his appalling behaviour, and reports in Brazil are now suggesting the Maciel may be banned for one year whilst he is also set to be punished with a hefty fine.
