The largest DVD rental shop in Kabukicho Tokyo was charged with sales of mosaic-free adult DVDs. Nine suspects, including the shop owner, were arrested on site last Saturday.
They confessed to the charges and declared 40 million yen in profit over the past four months. They admitted to bringing in their own customers to avoid catching the police's attention. In the shop, customers put down orders from a catalogue. Once their orders have been confirmed, DVDs are then delivered from a warehouse.
20 customers were in the shop at the time of the bust. More than 60,000 DVDs were seized from the shop and the warehouse.
