HEARTHSTONE OPEN BETA DELAYED (Escapist News Now)

Back at BlizzCon the company announced that their popular and addictive card playing game HearthStone: Heros of Warcraft would be going into open beta in December.

They have since retracted that statement and said the game will continue to be in closed beta at least until January 7th when the opt-ins will close. The good news is if you have already signed up you'll be receiving an invite! Everyone who opted-in before December 16th should have received an invite.

They will be going through the Battle.ent accounts to see who has used their beta keys and will be redistributing unclaimed keys. Blizzard recently pushed a content update that fixed some bugs and added a new Ranked Play system. They said they will not doing another data wipe so amass as many cards as you can!

They will continue to work on server stability to make the gameplay experience as great as possible for when they do open the floodgates to open beta.
