ISIS Mints Itself A New Currency

Based on photos posted on social media, it appears that ISIS has minted its own currency.

Last November, ISIS talked about establishing its own currency as a way to “emancipate itself from the satanic global economic system”. 
 Based on photos posted to social media, it appears they’ve done it.
The images shared by anti-Islamic State activists in Raqqa show gold coins embossed with a world map. 
Other designs on the currency pictured are calligraphic Arabic text and 7 stalks of wheat, which is a reference to Quranic text.
